I’d love to see this movie, too. The only concern I have is that his recent horror film didn’t come out well – at least in terms of reviews. Then again, I wasn’t interested in watching Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, having seen the original when I was a kid.
I think Del Toro flourishes with original material, not remakes. Have you seen The Orphanage (El Orfanato)? It’s one of my all-time favorite horror stories, and he produced it. Happy sigh.
I have seen The Orphanage, it was brilliant. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Mama since I saw the ad tonight, which I’m taking as a good sign.
