I read that book in one sitting. The story behind the story is amazing– King thought it sucked, threw it away, his wife found it in the trash, read it, and encouraged him to finish it. He did and the rest is history. Have you read his book On Writing?

I have! It’s one of my favourites. I like that he worked in his own story while being instructive; it’s the only writing book I’ve read to tatters.
